So sorry for your loss. Hugs.
Thank you Liz for your words of comfort. Max has been such a constant in my life. He is very missed.
I am SO sorry! Having experienced the loss of a dear canine companion of many years, I can begin to imagine how you feel. My thoughts are with you.
I'm very sorry to hear about Max. I lost my dog, Josh, in July and feel your pain. BUT...think of the great times you had together and how lucky you were to have each other.Lori
Oh dear, I am so very sorry for your loss. I have no words to make things better-we are all here for you.
Cherie - Deepest condolences for your loss of Max. That is a sad, hard thing, and I wish for you time to grieve and heal. Hope you see him joyful in dream-time.
Thank you everyone for the comfort of your kind words, they really do help. My son and I buried Max at my friend Cary's right next to his best friend Riley, who died 4 years ago. My boy waited till morning, waited for me to find him, tell him what a good boy he is, and that he could go. Within a minute of my telling him he could go, he stopped breathing. Later tonight I will add to my post. Again, thank you!Cherie
...Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you...I loved you so--twas' heaven here with you. That quote was on a memorial candle I got for my husband when his beloved Cleo was killed...it was a lovely sentiment. And it really helped us both. Along with the ritual of lighting the candle at night.
I'm so sorry for your loss. That first picture of him is just beautiful and brought tears to my eyes. As an animal lover, I can relate so much to your pain. I've lost several dogs now and my heart just can't take it anymore. But, we have my daughter's two spaniels who are as dear to my heart as they come and they come and spend every weekend with us (she lives in an apartment and so the weekends are their time to romp and play to their heart's delight in the yard). So, unfortunately, I will feel deeply their loss as well when their day comes. We find solace in the fact that they've had a good life with us. Your Max was blessed to have had you in his life and that is the very best gift you can give an animal.Blessings to you and sending you much light, love and strength right now...Rebecca
Dogs are so beloved and treasured in the presence, so missed in their loss. My deepest condolences and empathy.
Very sorry to hear about your loss of Max. We all know how it hurts and there is nothing to say right now to make you feel better, but we wish there was.
